In the midst of Soho and moments from Mayfair, Ham Yard Hotel has been a £90 million project in the making on a site that has not been developed since it was bombed in WW1. Offering 91 individually designed bedrooms and suites, a bar, restaurant, theatre, rooftop garden, 1950’s Texan bowling alley and spa, there are also around a dozen retail outlets situated around a courtyard. This really is an outstanding and extraordinarily luxurious boutique hotel with a difference!

Bold prints, strong colours, granite and oak

All rooms in the hotel have windows stretching from the floors to the ceilings and the bathrooms, with stand alone baths made from iron, have been designed using granite and rich oak. Bold prints can be seen everywhere with strong colours being used on the very expensive furnishings.

Owned by London’s premier boutique hotel operators, Firmdale Hotels PLC, the striking interiors have been put together by Kit Kemp in her award-winning modern British style.

Hainsworth Interiors Broadcloth

Hainsworth fabrics have been dramatically showcased in the hotel’s original Fifties bowling alley where wing chairs were covered in brightly coloured Hainsworth wools. Hainsworth’s electric blue wool was also used to line the walls of the large state-of-the-art theatre.

Julie Greenough, spokesperson for Hainsworth, says: We were delighted to supply this exciting new hotel with our fabrics.

Lustrous quality interior fabrics with sheen

Hainsworth Interiors Broadcloth is a tightly woven and felted woollen base cloth regarded for its lustrous quality and sheen. It comes in a variety of striking colours including Orange, Cherry, Gold, Paprika, Royal Blue, Black and Royal Navy – and is the widest woollen faced fabric on the market.
