AW Hainsworth Appoint Innovation, Technical and Design Director

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Richard Davies as our new Innovation, Technical and Design Director. Richard joins AW Hainsworth at an exciting time, with the aim of driving an innovative research and development strategy that brings value to the business.

Richard has a wealth of knowledge in textiles; he holds an undergraduate degree in Textiles and a PhD in Materials Science; he also worked as an R&D Project Leader with W.L Gore where he led global projects in their Fabrics Division. His credentials also include almost 7 years as a Scientist at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in Grenoble, where he authored or co-authored over sixty peer-reviewed publications. Richard’s unique mix of commercial, scientific and academic experience will make him an excellent addition to the team.
